We have big plans and we need your help!
Are you passionate about roller derby and developing athletes to their full potential? Do you want the opportunity to be part of shaping and growing a club? If so, we need you!
At the end of 2016 we merged two Leeds teams and formed our new family, Leeds Roller Derby. We spent the first year rebuilding and establishing strong team bonds and over the last few months have seen both of our competitive teams thrive and our new skater intake growing in size and ability.
With 2019 fast approaching – we need help doing even more, being even better and reaching even higher.
We need a new Competitive Head Coach to help us on our journey to be one of the top clubs in the UK. There… we’ve said it… we have BIG plans!
About the role
You’ll lead the strategic direction of our training programme, supported by our fantastic skater-run Training Committee (TC).

*Keeping up to date with the sport of roller derby to feed in new strategies and play, ensuring our gameplay remains competitive

*Great communication skills – listen, motivate and get results
*Confident in developing and delivering training plans, able to break down a skill to bitesize chunks for athletes at all levels to learn and understand
*Able to adapt your coaching style to the needs of different learners
*Embody our club values
*Share in all success
*Invest in each other
*Strive to be the best we can
*Not take ourselves too seriously
